INDONESIA - BANKING - Improve Performance, BNI Syariah Rotation of Directors

WWW.REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - In order to maximize the company's management, Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) Syariah change the formation directors. BNI Syariah directors who previously only be filled by three men, now increased by one.
The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders held on Thursday (24/5) afternoon also discussed about the rotational position of the parent to the subsidiary. One rotation is done is to replace some of the positions of directors and commissioners.
Director of the previously filled by Rizqullah will be replaced by Dinno Indiano, who previously served as Division Leader Medium Business BNI. Director of Business who formerly held by Bambang Widjanarko will be filled by Junaidi Hisom. Junaidi previously served as Division Chief Human Capital BNI. Two other directors are the Imam Q R Jawaprawira Saptono and ACEP. ACEP before an independent commissioner position in BNI Syariah.  (source)

INDONESIA - BANKING - BNI Syariah Microfinance Expansion


WWW.REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) Syariah will develop micro-finance service this summer. Currently there is a new micro-finance services in five places in Bogor and its surrounding areas.

INDONESIA - BANKING - Islamic banking transcends 4.5 % market share

www.bisnis.com - JAKARTA: Edy Setiadi, Head of Banking Department of Bank Indonesia has two entries that can penetrate the syariah banking industry market share 4.5% at the end of this year.
"This could occur when each bank syariah and syariah business units can increase the flat compared with the parent," he said to the Business, a brief message late Wednesday, May 9, 2012.

INDONESIA - BANKING - Gold Pawn Islamic banks fell 12%

www.kontan.co.id - BANDUNG. Settling gold pawn business have a significant impact to the Islamic bank. See, during the first quarter of 2012, gold-backed financing qardh down 12% compared to the position in December 2011 (year to date / ytd). Worth only Rp 11.4 trillion, from Rp 13 trillion previously.
This shrinkage was significant because in previous periods, or before the application of new rules, pledge gold to grow around 15% - 20% per quarter.
Bank Indonesia (BI) is a new rule issued by the end of February 2012. But revamping the standard operating procedure (SOP) pawning gold has been going on since September 2011. (source)

INDONESIA - BANKING - BNI Syariah gold mortgage financing shrinks 64%

www.kontan.co.id - BANDUNG. In the first quarter of this year, BNI Syariah gold lien financing shrank 64% to Rp 210 billion, compared to fourth quarter 2011 reached Rp 590 billion.

Meanwhile, when compared with March last year which amounted to Rp 562 billion, the financing in the first quarter of this year also recorded fell by 62%.

Business Director Bambang Widjanarko said BNI Syariah, the decline in mortgage financing distribution of gold, due to a temporary suspension of business activity following the new rules as stipulated in Bank Indonesia Circular Letter No. 14/7/DPBS dated March 1, 2012.  (source)

INDONESIA - EDUCATION - Islamic Banking is still difficulty HR

INDONESIA - HUMAN RESOURCES - Wanted, an analyst at Financing the Sharia!

INDONESIA - EDUCATION - Trisakti Islamic Finance Practice with Mini Bank

INDONESIA - BANKING - BNI Syariah Posts Rp89.26 Billion Profit

www.theindonesiatoday.com - JAKARTA, Indonesia Today - PT Bank BNI Syariah booked net profit of Rp89.26 billion in 2011, expects to book profit of Rp73 billion in 2011, surged 143% Rp36.7 billion in previous year.

Operating income jumped 126% to Rp1.01 trillion from Rp447.9 billion in 2010, of which income from financing accounted for Rp786.64 billion. (source)

INDONESIA - BANKING - Profit BNI Syariah rocketed 100%

www.bisnis.com - JAKARTA: PT Bank Negara Indonesia Sharia optimistic to record profit doubled from a year earlier, to $ 73 billion at the end of 2011 from Rp36, 5 billion as at December 2010.

Business Director Islamic Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI Syariah) Bambang Widjanarko said since the beginning of the company is targeting earnings to grow 100% in comparison with the previous year.

INDONESIA - BANKING - Islamic banking offers a bright outlook in 2012

INDONESIA - BANKING - BNI Syariah To Add Three Branch In Jaksel

JAKARTA: PT Bank Negara Indonesia's Shariah branch will open three assistants in the South Jakarta area this year, employment closer to our customers.
Bambang Widjanarko, Director of Syariah Business Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI Syariah), says the three branches assistants (KCP) will be located in the vicinity Cilandak, Chief Polim and Sunday Market.
The opening of the three KCP is part of the company plans to open 105 outlets in the new branches throughout Indonesia for a year. (source)

INDONESIA - LIQUIDITY - Foreign banks may trade in sharia-based inter-bank money market

JAKARTA: Bank Indonesia invites foreign banks to inter-bank money market based on Islamic principles, expanding the pool of participants, and allow transactions using brokerage.

The central bank also relaxes the regulation of sharia-based money market by allowing transfer of ownership of instruments through sale and purchase agreement. (source)

INDONESIA - BANKING - BNI Syariah Optimistic Funding Increase 30 Percent

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Funding of cheap funds (savings and current accounts) and expensive funds (deposits) in BNI Syariah still predicted to grow by 30 percent. This growth will be supported from the increasing public interest in cheap funds of Islamic banks.
Value of funding or the Third Party Funds (TPF) in targeted next year could increase from 2 to 2.5 trillion USD. While BNI Syariah deposits as of end of November reached Rp 7 trillion. "Society interest is now growing steadily, more and more interest to the cheap funding," said Director of Business BNI Syariah, Bambang Widjanarko, Wednesday (28/12).  (source)

INDONESIA - BANKING - 7 Islamic Banks cooperate with Muhammadiyah

Jakarta (15/12) - A total of seven Islamic banks today conduct a joint collaboration with Muhammadiyah in terms of cash management. These banks are Bank Syariah Bukopin (BSB), Bank Syariah Mandiri (BSM), Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) Syariah, Negar Savings Bank (BTN) Sharia, Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) Sharia, Bank Muamalat Indonesia (BMI), and Bank Danamon Syariah.
Cooperation itself is set forth in the joint signing of a memorandum of understanding that made the Chairman of Muhammadiyah, Din Syamsudin with representatives of each Islamic bank at the House of Muhammadiyah Jakarta, Thursday (15/12).  (source)
